Future City Fourways, once fully implemented, shall be the largest precinct improvement initiative in Africa. Its purpose is to create a cleaner and safer Greater Fourways by providing privately-funded cleaning and maintenance services, and driving the improvement of  law enforcement services primarily on William Nicol Drive and Witkoppen Road.

The pillars of Future City are anti-crime, anti-grime, social investment and area promotion.

Future City comprises a team of skilled and motivated Fourways’ residents and business owners who have proven track records in community upliftment projects. We aim to transform high-traffic sectors in Fourways into orderly, clean and safe public spaces. We aim to use advanced technology and innovative security solutions, coordinated with law enforcement agencies, and build partnerships throughout the area to make Fourways great.

Aligned to our core values are entrepreneurial  job creation and training, local and international tourist and business promotion, and real estate value enhancement through an integrated area plan.

Future City Fourways: Delivering the solution to urban decay in Fourways

Future City Fourways™ is alive entirely as the result of the generosity of a group of businesses and residents who have seen the vision of a renovated Fourways and who fund the non profit organisation through sponsorships and donations.

Leading companies, professionals and community champions have combined their resources and expertise to make an application to the City of Johannesburg for the implementation of a privately-operated area upliftment initiative in the greater Fourways area known as Future City Fourways™

  • A tool to improve the security, cleanliness and infrastructure on primary traffic routes.
  • Aims to provide services that will enhance the potential of economic nodes and business precincts in the area through the establishment and management of an improvement district organisation.

Future City is combatting problems being experienced at the street level and impact on human and environmental health and safety, and the reputation of Fourways and its neighbouring communities.

We want to upgrade William Nicol Drive and Witkoppen Road to the standard of Montecasino Boulevard
